Brake maintenance

It is important to do the maintenance brakes once a year. Maintenance is essential to maximize the durability of your Club Car cart!

Here are the necessary steps:
A. Raise your cart steadily using a lifter.
B. Remove the wheels from the cart.
C. Remove the drum
D. Using an air gun and brake remover, clean the shoulder and brake bands.
E. Lightly sand the brake bands.
F. Remove excess dust with the air gun.
G. Using white grease, lubricate moving parts. More precisely the shoulders of the brakes and the slide.
H. Using your palms, hit the brake bands about ten strokes so that they are able to move. We do not want the tapes to get stuck, which could cause a defect.
I. Put the drum back on
J. Test the brake latch by turning the drum, to make sure the brake is working properly.
K. Check the brake cable for damage. If so, it must be changed.
